GED Preparation Course

The GED Preparation Course at Learnovate is designed for learners who want to prepare for the GED exam and strengthen their academic skills in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The course supports learners with structured lessons, practice questions, exam strategies, mock tests and guided revision.

This program is suitable for school leavers, adult learners, working professionals and anyone who wants an internationally recognized high school equivalency pathway. Learners will improve reading, writing, mathematical reasoning, scientific understanding, social studies knowledge and test-taking confidence.

12-Module Curriculum:
Module 1: GED Orientation and Study Planning – Understand the GED exam structure, subject areas, study approach and preparation plan for successful test readiness. Lessons: GED exam overview|Subject-wise preparation plan|Study habits and time management|Diagnostic assessment.
Module 2: Reasoning Through Language Arts: Reading Skills – Build reading comprehension skills for fiction, non-fiction, workplace and academic passages. Lessons: Main idea and supporting details|Inference and interpretation|Author purpose and tone|Vocabulary in context.
Module 3: Reasoning Through Language Arts: Writing and Grammar – Develop grammar, sentence structure, editing and written communication skills required for GED readiness. Lessons: Grammar and punctuation|Sentence correction|Paragraph organization|Editing and proofreading.
Module 4: Extended Response Essay Writing – Learn how to plan, write and improve GED-style extended response essays using clear arguments and evidence. Lessons: Essay structure|Thesis statement writing|Using evidence from passages|Timed writing practice.
Module 5: Mathematical Reasoning: Number Operations – Strengthen core math skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios and basic calculations. Lessons: Whole numbers and integers|Fractions and decimals|Percentages and ratios|Word problem solving.
Module 6: Mathematical Reasoning: Algebra and Equations – Develop practical algebra skills for solving equations, inequalities, expressions and GED-style math problems. Lessons: Algebraic expressions|Linear equations|Inequalities|Functions and patterns.

Module 9: Science: Physical Science, Earth Science and Data Analysis – Build understanding of basic chemistry, physics, Earth science and scientific data interpretation. Lessons: Matter and energy|Forces and motion|Earth and space science|Charts, tables and scientific evidence.
