Interior Design – Level 4 is a practical and creative course designed for learners who want to build strong foundation skills in residential and commercial interior design. 3. Space Planning and Furniture Layout – Develop practical space planning skills to organise rooms safely and effectively according to function, movement, furniture size, and user needs.
4. Colour Theory for Interiors – Study colour psychology, colour schemes, mood creation, and how to select suitable palettes for different interior projects.
5. Materials, Finishes and Textures – Explore interior materials, wall finishes, flooring, fabrics, surface treatments, and how to select finishes based on durability, style, and budget.
6. Lighting Design Fundamentals – Understand natural and artificial lighting, lighting layers, fixture types, placement, and how lighting affects comfort and atmosphere.
7. Furniture, Fixtures and Accessories – Learn how to select furniture, fixtures, soft furnishings, artwork, accessories, and decorative elements to complete an interior concept.
8. Interior Drawing and Measurement Basics – Gain basic drawing and measurement skills needed to understand floor plans, elevations, room dimensions, and design documentation.
9. Residential Interior Design – Apply design concepts to living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and other residential spaces with attention to comfort and lifestyle.
10. Commercial Interior Design – Understand design requirements for offices, retail spaces, hospitality areas, reception spaces, and small commercial interiors.
11. Client Presentation and Mood Board Development – Create professional design presentations using mood boards, sample boards, concept notes, colour palettes, and material selections.
12. Final Interior Design Project and Assessment – Complete a practical interior design project by preparing a concept, layout plan, colour/material selection, and final presentation for assessment.
